    How many of the posters here that know a tubing barrel will blow up have ever built a barrel made from tubing and shot it ? How many of those have had that barrel blow up ? Probably none. It is great to give your opinions but in this case it is probably not based on fact.

    .62 barrel twist rate ?

    I would like opinions on the best twist rate for a .62 caliber rifled barrel to shoot 700 and 900 grain conicals behind 200 grains of black. I thought 1 twist in 48". Also could a guy shoot round balls in that barrel with say 50-70 grains of powder ? It will be 32" long. Thanks

    Hello John, I have one of these actions and just wondered why the hammer and sear need to be case hardened and why the main spring need to be hardened ? Will the gun or shooter be damaged if those steps are not taken ? Also how do you do the case hardening and the hardening ? Thanks
