    Hi all, Was wondering if someone could steer me in the right direction for the type of mini mould that might work well in my 1863 zouave repro. I can shoot the roundballs up to fifty yards and am very acurate but anything further my groups are non existant. Thought I might give a mini a try...

    It shot ok, but still not as consistant as Goex. :imo: I have had pretty good luck using the ffff for priming in my flinter however.

    Yes.. You may want to start watching your patches... what do they look like... At 60 grain you may be getting away with thin patch but as you jack up your powder charge i'm afraid you may not have much left. A buddy of mine has a .45 just like your .50 and he uses the same patching as i do ...
