Congrats. Well done, sir. Not on just getting the deer, but on a good purchase as well. That deer, if properly field dresses and if the meat was properly taken care of, should make some fine eating.

Were you shooting a round ball or conical?

Those cheap old CVA's are not the highest quality, but they are darn good shooters. My wife happens to have one.

Thank you! She's already packed neatly in the freezer, had some of the meat for dinner last night.

Roundballs, as far as I can tell this one has the slow twist barrel but I haven't measured it. Shoots them accurately so no need to change I think.

I might strip it down and make it prettier over winter I like it so much

Obviously RB works with that one.

I haven't tried them yet out of the one at the house, only Maxi Balls, but its on my to do list.

I hope to refinish this one over the winter as well. Also needs a ramrod.
