Hmmm... good idea Griz! ... I’ve got Crisco. Can you get beeswax at Walmart, CVS, HomeDepot?
There are lots of vendors selling beeswax on the www.

A good number of hunters on this site use conicals in black powder sidelocks.
@Howie1968 is one of them. He has slain MANY MANY hogs with conicals.
It is drifting some into the unmentionables, but the main theme is lead projectiles which is VERY applicable to the caplock revolver shooters. The same exact bullet shown can be used in a caplock or cartridge and the leading issue is identical for both. The projectile and lead issue is universal to both worlds. I hope that Zonie sees it this way too, there is a LOT of great information from some very experienced black powder enthusiasts here.Yes sir, You are correct. I'm one of those folks. I cast round balls, conical's, cartridge bullets for un- mentionable's here on the list.
I'm politely trying to tell the OP that I believe his thread is going to be removed by the administrators.
Maybe not, If so I stand corrected
Thanks
