I have this 58 Remington and was wondering if anyone recognizes the emblem. No other markings as to the manufacturer.
Also I'm curious about the rifling. It's counter clockwise. The only thing I can compare it with is a Pietta target, and the rifling is clockwise on it. Or maybe it's my target Pietta that is different?

The left photo (173901) shows counterclockwise or left hand rifling, possibly progressive too but hard to tell from the photo, while the right photo shows right hand rifling. Which gun matches which photo?

Might want to do some work on it, the bolt drop is late, look at the locking notch, it's peening the edge of the notches. I would also guess the hand is short as well.

D Yager, I've already fixed that.
I have a collection of civil war revolvers. I have just the Colts and Remingtons, one Rogers. All are Pietta except the Rogers. I was short the 58 Army Remington. I traded something for this one. I've been waiting on a Pietta to come up. Finally landed one today. So I figured I'd see what information I could gather here.
