Inspired, but not directly copied, by #18.K in Neumanns "SWORDS and BLADES of the AMERICAN REVOLUTION". 1750-1790. 8"x 1 1/4" blade of 01 steel, with a through tang peened over an iron washer, hand filed elk leg bone grip with a bone file cut butt cap. Iron guard, sterling silver ferrule with a hand engraved flower on four sides. All very lightly aged. Hope you enjoy a look.

Wick, this is over the top

That handle is amazing and I know how long it took. I would say it don't get no better but with you that would just be a challenge :hatsoff:

Wick, as usual your work is impeccable! The blade is awesome as well as the handle.

The subtle engraving on the ferule is really fantastic!

This is a very nice sticker Wick has created.
When in hand, ya just want to push it through something.
A man could get in a lot of trouble with a knife like that.
Nicely done Wick!

I'm speachless :idunno:

very nice....nice work is always appreciated~
thank you for the pictures!
and that engraving symbol....evr do any keltic's on the blade itself????

Do you use the stock removal method or hammer forge method?

I grind my blades from 01 bar stock and do my own engraving by the hammer and chisle method. I'm too old to endure the heat of a forge to beat out a blade, and forging does not do anything to improve steel, so I don't.

Thanks Wick -- I have visited Randall in Orlando a "few" times and they do some forging on their O1 and finalize the shape on the grinder -- I like your work :hatsoff::hatsoff: .
