Thanks RB, for the tip of the hat, Mike said it all also. I use " Mike's Quality Black Powder Wads". He can be reached at Ph. No. 317-933-3441. For a tight pattern I use no cushion at all. But that limits the number of shots I get before swabbing. For some reason all my guns end up with a 1/4" thick fiber cushion, which is really a full size cushion cut in half. I use olive oil for lube. Veg. oil works well also but turns smelly in time. I can shoot ALL day lubed like this and some times are darn near do shoot all day. The Hunter packs are a great way to start out. But, please have someone measure your bore dia., well back from the muzzle. Some guns are not "standard". Either by the way they were built or by wear, if an old gun. Shotguns can be addicting. Soon you will have 1000's of componets laying around so you have the stuff in stock when you find that next gun that follows you home. :winking:
