The Kno how. Finally sweet Satisfaction!!!!
You are right about that.
Ed’s book and this forum is about the best source of information anyone could ask for.
That's what it's all about. I'm glad to have helped. I know the other guys are too.
Now if we could just reach some kids and get them focused on The Traditional Way of Hunting with Muzzleloaders.
I got alot of pointers, advice and some good times with all mentioned above and then some.

4-H has black powder programs, maybe your local clubs need instructors. Large captive audience there.

Took my 5 year old along this evening. First time I ever hunted squirrels with a rifle. Always useda fowler.
This was the little kids rifle I built in march for my kids to start on.
I gotta scrunch down into it but I can shoot it.
It was more fun than I expected.
Might have to build my own now Jim ....

First one was about 40 yards hanging on the side of a whiteoak... the 2nd one I saw a shadow of it on another tree so I knew he was on the backside.... told Cobie to walk around the tree for dad..he did move from her approach but he must known I was waiting because he got up in a Y and all I could see was his ear and part of his head. So I took his head off. It was awesome.

That’s awesome to see you are able to introduce your daughter into squirrel hunting with the muzzleloader 🐿️🐿️

Sometimes it pays to be a taxidermist, and I don’t mean monetarily. Yesterday a friend brought me in a buck that his grandson shot.
In the course of chatting, he knowing I’m a squirrel hunter, said I need to try this piece of public land next valley over. He said there were lots of squirrels there.

He has mentioned it before and I’ve been meaning to check it out but hadn’t yet.

I was going to go out to my honey hole this morning but decided to try this new area. Wise decision. This woods was loaded with squirrels. It’s thick and tough to get shots but man there are a lot in there.

My first three shots were misses which had me gritting my teeth. But the next three were kills.

I think I found a new honey hole. I’m looking forward to getting back there.
