I am seriously considering that! I do know that there are some folks in the neighborhood who would object. Don't know exactly who they are but I often find peanut shells in the backyard so there's that. We know that the State of New York executed Peanut so it's not him!

All my neighbors are good people so I don't want to offend any of them. Therefore, it depends on how quiet it is. 🤣
I have also had to resort to this subtrifuge. I have a 25 yard range behind my house which isn't exactly to standards but I had no neighbors just vacant land now I have neighbors so for my backyard shooting and sqiurreeling I have had to switch to O2

Sitting here looking out my office window during a long conference call and seeing several squirrels running all over the woods about 100 yards away. It's a feels-like 1.0 degrees... temp of 9.7 so says the neighbors weather station. Probably doesn't hurt that the "buffet" was renewed now that our flintlock season has ended.

We Stand Strong for P'Nut, around here.

I'll bet P'Nut helped in the election more than most realize.

Poor little feller; why did they have to kill him...

Late to the thread.
Hunting squirrels is as relaxing for me as fishing is to others.
I enjoy hunting either with my .36 or stick bow. Spot and stalk generally my preferred method.
Here in the Texas Hill Country we have greys but we also have those damn black squirrels. Those I don’t hunt, just kill. My Opa told me as a very young kid “We don’t eat those.”, so I never even decided to try one, but their heart and liver are used for catfish bait.
We now are splitting our time in the Ozarks of Arkansas. The Squirrel hunting up there is amazing. I’m still learning them critters there, Fox, Grey and Reds, supposedly some flying as well.
