Me either, GSML. Now, starving to death in an apocalypse situation I'd shoot spitballs at 'em if that's all I had.......I'm not here to judge anyone. I personally would not take a .36 PRB deer hunting...
By modern ammunition I thought he meant Conicals...Me either, GSML. Now, starving to death in an apocalypse situation I'd shoot spitballs at 'em if that's all I had....
ETA: Uh-oh, just saw Loyalist Dave's post. Is a spitball too modern? I promise I won't mention them again.
I know, I was just being a smart alec... Didn't go over very well, did it...By modern ammunition I thought he meant Conicals...
Na I got it. Was just mashing your taters a little bit. Besides we all know Conicals and modern ammo are just fads. I don't think they will catch on.I know, I was just being a smart alec... Didn't go over very well, did it...
I am one of those fortunate souls that has a set of T-C Maxi-Ball mold blocks. I have not used them yet. They were in a box of miscellaneous muzzleloader stuff the widow of a good friend of mine sold to me cheap after he died. I didn’t even know the mold blocks were in the box until I went thru it 3 years or so later. Nice surprise!.45 and bigger here in Nebraska. If i could i still wouldn't just because deer can get huge here and i wouldn't feel comfortable shooting a big one with a .36, even with a maxi within 50 yards.
36 maxi does exist, but they and the molds are very rare. I've also tried the paper patched .357 158 gr option and got keyholes at 25 yds with my Seneca but the maxi shot under 4 inch at 50.
Also, accurate does have a pretty much identical mold.View attachment 354673
