I have a >44 cal. muzzleloader pistol and it has 44 Cal Made In Italy and on top of the barrel it has IGE ,I think it my be a kit gun, anyone have an idea to who makes it ?

XXV is the mark for 1969 but .44 caliber can be either pistol or revolver. Not perfectly sure if I understand the type gun you're describing. Photos would help greatly, instructions are at the top of the Forum Index page. Please try to find more marks so we can give you more info.

Many early Italian Kentucky style and Overcoat pistols were 44 caliber and are actually a very tight 44 cal. I suspect they were actually made as 11 MM and 44 was the closest American designation that would sell.
