Yeah, I saw that vid. That guy can consider himself lucky that the pistol missed him and didnt bury itself in his forehead. :shake: :shake:

You know what surprises me is that guns of this size stay mounted within the stock! I bet if they were fired from against an solid object like a wall or a tree they would splinter the stock all to pieces.

Or put your shoulder between stock and tree and see what happens! (Do not try this at home) :rotf:

I remember that video. The idiot gripped it one handed with the other hand on the little "foregrip" thingy. No wonder it went flying! He's lucky to be alive.

I'd love to have seen him fire it using a stout two handed grip, just to see if the design had any merit whatsoever.

I just got in on this conversation but thought I'd put my 2 cents in. I recently picked up an old Kirkland Arms, as in Turner Kirkland, 7-8 bore flintlock, it mikes out at .86 caliber. It is in unfired condition and I have ordered a round ball mould for it. I fiqure the ball will weigh about 2 oz's if it is an 8 bore. Anyone had anything to do with one of these?

Russ,
Yes, it is marked "made in Belgum" and does have the belgian proofs on the barrel at the breach.
