BrownBear hit it. Once our local Gander Mt. closed up I went to Lawrence from B.P.

And back when the P.O. had "$7.95 to ship anything that fits" boxes Jethro224 and I swapped shot sizes. :rotf: No wonder thay had to increase the rates!

I thought at one time bass pro carried it. I've got a them, cabelas and gander mountain in driving distance. Bet shipping on a bag of lead is high.

Geeze, I've never had trouble finding shot. Every store around here that has reloading equipment sells shot of various sizes. Have you checked all of your reloading supply stores? Cabela's, Bass Pro and Gander Mountain have always been good sources. I go to Houston from time to time and they have a couple of locations for Carter Country and they have shot of all sizes. If you have a skeet and/or trap range, they will either sell shot or can tell you who does.

I grew up reading Jack O Connors and he was a fan of #5. However growing up in Texas they looked at you like you were crazy if you asked for it. I did find a bag at a gun show once pretty cheap because it was not known. We can get 9 , 8 , 7 1/2 , 6 and 4's. However when it hit $40 a bag a while back the places carring it lost several around here. Is it still made? Geo. T.

I'm with BrownBear. Ballistic Products for all my shot.

Funny thing is, #5 has always been hard to find. And I'm talking over the last 50 years. I bet I've only seen it on a store shelf a handful of times. Only thing harder to find was the #3 lead that Elmer Keith loved so much.

Ballistic Products has been a true friend.
