I just saw on the news that fearing terrorism, Calif. has banned .50 cal. rifles. Wonder if they will draw the line at centerfires? Time to wake up people.

And as we all know that will stop them from getting them. :bull:
That went into effect 1/1/2005. Anyone who has one has to register their weapon with another(can't remember who) state agency. :bull: :bull: :bull:

But ya know......I feel safer

One step at a time. First the center fires. Not many people have them. But it will keep going. Someday they will be after my M/L. But not today.

When was the last time a terrorist used a muzzleloader?

When was the last time a terrorist carried a .50 caliber BAR?

Every picture I seen published of terrorist they had .30 caliber SKS's...

California didn't ban anything. Arnie did. He's just trying to score some brownie points with the 'anti' crowd.

The ban is for any rifle (bolt-action or otherwise) firing the .50 BMG cartridge. Their excuse is that terrorists can use them to shoot down airliners at 30,000 feet, blow up oil refineries from a mile away... Basically anything impossible that those of us living in the real world know is impossible, the anti's believe it will happen tomorrow.

The really odd thing is, Arnold made alot of money carrying .50 cal machine guns around and shooting the manure out of everything, in the movies. "Commando" comes to mind, right away. He shot more people in one movie with one , than have ever been shot in real life, in California. Ungrateful S.O.B. :curse:

Now when was the last time a terrorist said: "We can't use that weapon here, it's banned!"

I believe they don't give a damn about Federal laws... :hmm:

Hey, remember Arnie is married to Maria Shriver, Teddy Kennedy's neice! He just looking to score points with his wife and the Patriarch of the Kennedy clan! Not to mention he's an Austrian. Heil Arnie!

The sorry part of that movie was the poor marksmanship of the bad guys, they musta missed 'im a million times. :nono:

I don't know, all of the 19 pounders (21 loaded) I lugged around were 30-06.

Now why would anyone think that this man would ban guns?

You would think that one of the requirements of being Governor of any state would be that you would have to be able to properly pronounce it's name...

Cal-li-forn-i-ya

Yea, what about Clint Eastwood (anti-gun) where would
he be if it were not for the S&W mdl. 29 .44mag.? He
said he made "The Unforgiven" to show the useless violence
caused by fire arms. He said the guy that played
"Little Bill" would only be in it if, it carried an
ant-gun message. BS that was about money and fame using
firearms to draw viewers, what phoney BS.

REDWING :m2c: :redthumb:

The idea that someone would even use a 50 BMG to do harm or damage is just ridiculous. Anyone seeing suspicious people driving around with $3,000.00 scoped .50 cal's in their trunk??

Regards, sse

gregary peck is another one,,,,made his living in westerns, but is anti gun :shake: :shake: :shake:
