My dads and my flintlock, and he wonders why I don’t have to chase them down!

.62 with 90 gr. FFG is good out to 150 yds. if you can handle the recoil. I used one of these in a longrifle for about 10 yrs. in the late Pa. flint deer season. It shoots flat enough that the trajectory is very predictable. All the deer I killed , were w/ln 100 yds. except for one.
 
For the last few years I have been running a Kibler Colonial in 58 cal(276gr) behind 80gr of 3F. Ballistics, accuracy, and blood trails/killing power are excellent. Recoil in the 8 1/2 pound Colonial is quite manageable. Not much different from my 54 cal.
