well after all the grief i finaly got it finished, 54 cal. 44'barrel poorboy style.kept it plain. i think it will be a good shooter.even built a case for it. pictures are a bit blurry but you get the idea.
now i have to find some time to take it out and sight it in.

if it shoots as good as it looks you will have no trouble hiting the bull. beautifull flinter

Beautiful rifle and I really like the case. What dimension material did you use for the case?

The rest of us SHOOT the bull; now you should be able to HIT it with that bad boy. That case is awesome, by the way. :v

If the rest of the rifle looks as butstock and lock area(and I'm pretty sure it does) you have a nice shooting iron there.Congratulations on a job well done.

Beautiful job on the gun and the case. Keep us posted on how she shoots. and show some more pics please.

for the case, i bought 2x8 cheep pine and ripped it on edge into 3 sections just under 1/2" thick.then glued and tacked it together. the straps are just goodwill old leather belts with a steel button for them to hook too.
the next one i build i will rip 2x10 as on this box it is just a little to narrow i had to knotch out for the lock to clear the lid.
i will get some more photos on the weekend.
i was quite surprized myself how good it looked once it was done. and it was simple.

Very nice, excellent job! I agree, though the box is very nice, I want more pics of the rifle!!
