Hmmmm. The only time I had burned out patches was when I spit patched. Figured there was something incendiary about my saliva.

:haha:

Gosh Roundball, how many rounds is that? I always stroke the bore of any new barrel with steel wool. I think that shooting 2-3 boxes of roundball is essentially the same thing, or am I just hoping it is?

I wonder, now that I've re-read several post on this subject if there might be a crown problem? Can it be that maybe when the crown was being made or cut the die could have been dull?

I'm just tossin' out ideas.

What do you think?

By 2-3 boxes I would be meaning 200-300 rounds

HAY Stumpkiller,, did I tell you your a genesis,
I even went back to the .010 patches with my new "BORE-MORE-ALL"lube, The .018 patches won't even start goin in,, after I shot 10 rounds the smokin patches stopped,, I bet if I ask what brand of toothpaste to use I wouldn't had to go thru the 10 shots first,,
Now, I got to figure out the load it likes,,
Hay all, I really want to thank you guys for stickin with me till you all figured it out,, Let's try and be a lil quicker next time,, ;>)~~ THANKS !!!!
