A cruel joke?

Believe it or not, someone worked long and hard on building that pistol.

I'm not saying they did a good job but I'm sure they were proud of it.

What caliber/gauge is it and have you fired it? Some of the ugliest guns I have owned were the most fun to play with because they didn't require any special care or treatment. You could just load shoot and enjoy.

Actually, you can own it. It is up for auction on-line right now.

I just copied the picture because of it's innovative design.

It's expensive because it is a one-of-a-kind custom piece. Not signed by the artist formerly known as "Duh."

Looks fine compared to an under hammer listed recently and at a ridiculous price. Poorly finished and, worse yet, the lock was a flat bar that simply sat on the nipple, no half cock. One bump and blammo! If it surfaces again, I will post a pic. Makes your gun look like best quality. BTW, Turner Kirkland had a picture in the Dixie Gun catalogs of the first pistol he built as a boy. Very similar to the one above.

You guys wouldn't be laughing if the gun zimmerstutzen posted had its ramrod.

A ramrod can make all the difference in the world.

Without it, the gun is sort of naked and as everybody knows sometimes things look a lot worse when everything is out in the open for everybody to see.
If the ramrod was there covering up some of the gun it might look like a treasure. :hmm:

Why, I bet if that pistol had it's ramrod you folks would be fighting among yourselves over who gets to own this one of a kind pistol! :rotf:
