I finished this horn today (it's already been sold), and wanted to share some photos of it, as I do like how it came out.
It's a little different than my others with the low domed butt cap and the lack of a collar or transition from the neck to the body. I am continuing to add a hint of blended inks for highlights which work well with this "folk-art" type decoration.
I think these pictures also give you an idea of how deeply my lines are engraved. I don't think they will get worn away very soon.
This was a very enjoyable horn to craft and I find that doing these types of border-and-symbol designs come very naturally for me and are simple and tasteful. (Often times, coming up with a design or theme alone can take many, many hours.)
