Added a Mike Miller rifle to the safe.

Well, I went to visit a friend and we ended up swapping rifles. I added a Mike Miller .60cal. to the pile, and he got one of my Larry Mrock rifles. I didn't need three Mrocks anyway.
It has a 46" .60cal. 1-56" twist Getz barrel with a Chambers lock. A 46" barrel is a bit long for me, but this isn't a match rifle. It is more of a fun rifle to shoot on my range. The finish is scraped not sanded.

Fantastic gun! Why "added to the safe,"?? That beauty in that caliber should be out killing deer, and maybe elk or moose!

That looks a lot like the Chambers Early Lancaster except for the roundface lock being substituted for the golden age lock. And that caliber choice is a bet unorthodox. Nice looking build, perfectly inlet.

“Added to the safe” was just a figure of speech. I shoot them all as time permits. The barrel was a special order from Getz via Frank Bartlett. As for caliber I traded a .62 for a .60. I like the big bores.

Does anyone know if there’s any relation between builders Richard (Dick) Miller and Mike Miller? Their builds seem to share some similarities.
