I am a plumber and I have some lead. But I don't have the casting equipment caps Or barrel butter. I would like to just be able to buy everything at once. Any suggestions? Thank you for your reply.

At a minimum you will need to buy powder and caps. Stick to roundball starting out. You will need .454 or .457 ball depending on model and manufacturer although .457 will work in most but it may take more force to seat them if using a revolver meant for .454.

Post the brand and model and I am sure someone here can tell you which size you need.

I am sure you can find a gunstore or sporting goods store that carries ball and a substitute powder. Caps can be ahrd to come by right now. Many online retailers will have everything except caps. Bore butter is available from most places but crisco works in a pinch.

Thank you, .457 is what I am seeing on you tube to create a better seal , I called all around locally and I could not find the ball or caps and crisco was also mentioned

The scrap yard usually has lead for cheep, I pay $0.80/lb andi don't think I am allowed to tell you how to make your own powder but it isn't hard. I figure I can make a pound of powder for under $10 and shot depends on caliber but even my 4-bore I can get it down to about$0.20/ rb
