I've managed to pick up one very beat-up Richards dueller (that's it sparking away on the left), and a Wogdon that has been converted to percussion and restocked. Maybe when I win the lottery...
I saw a beautiful set of LePage dueling pistols in a collection near here. The owner had purchased these in Europe many years ago while serving there in the military. Ebony stocks with French gray metal all over. The engraving was perfect. Truly breath taking. He was contemplating selling these off at an auction.
He also had another set that was more along the lines of what one might normally expect.
I just got a pair of duelers made in Tiflis, and will disassemble the pair to inspect for additional markings and to conduct a component inventory.
They are extremely ornate with percussion ignition.
More often than not the inletting and workmanship is flawless both inside and out.
I will probably chronicle the event with photos.
If there is sufficient interest, I will gladly post the photos on this forum.
