Okay, I will bite, if you do not go into tirade and no criticism of the NMLRA.

Weather was nice, Saturday was for the most part a wash out with the wind, Sunday was the day for pistol shooters.

Shooters by discipline, some up and some down, total attendance do not know as I did not ask.

Traders Row, number of vendors down, traders are getting older and traders spouses are having some health issues, Traders Row is not doing well. Most traders are coming from a long way and that is a hard ship on them.

I shot well above my pistol normal average, there was 5 new pistol national records set for the WNS, I set 4.

I jumped from a Marksman to Expert this year. I was just short of going to the Master class by a few points.

WNS pistol shooting is doing well, it continues to grow. Most shooters are coming from Ohio, Indiana and California. I met no Arizona pistol shooters except for one.

It is a nice shoot and well run and I have no complaints after coming for 8 years, will be back next year.

There are come really nice folks at the shoot and they will help a person out.

Weather is called an act of God, and be happy you were there that Saturday, and not the Saturday before when it rained like 2 inches, and turned Ben Avery into a big wet mess.

Hell I stayed home, and what the weather hit my place like 3 or 4 times, and said to myself. I am happy I am not some homeless person trying to find shelter from this WET Weather.

I was there on Wednesday...about 7 or 8 vendors
not many people...little wind...prices up...like
caps for 10$ a tin...not for me...

The one Arizona Pistol shooter I knew but did not see this year is a retired Cop. Maybe our path did not cross this year as I did not see him out shooting.

But an event at Ben Avery be it the Western, or some other type of shoot. The group or club involved needs to get the word out, and market themselve to the shooting public at event like the Ben Avery Sportsman's Expo, Gun Shows, and other venues were outdoor people gather.

I know there is a youth Trap & Skeet group at Ben Avery that does market itself to Boy & Girl Scouts, YMCA, Young Marines, and other group where the kids parent are pro second amendment. That group is filled to capacity most weekends.

New blood is the future life of any organization, as without new members, or shooters, many club and shooting disciplines die and go away. As members get old, and can no long participate, or thy die & go away.
