Hey All!

Finally back online and have a new (older) shotgun to play with ta' boot!

Here's the deal...I received a mid-70's Navy Arms double barrel side by side in 12 gauge from my dad. NICE GUY! It is an unfinished kit. I am missing a couple screws but that is normal for me...

I have no information on the gun and am wondering if anyone here may have some input? The top stamp reads "PIETTA Made in Italy". There is etching on the tang and the sidelocks....

Anyone have any ideas about this gun? I'm wondering the "model" and the cylinder bores? Is it a replica? IF so, of what? etc...

Thanks all!

Dean

It is made by Pietta in Italy. They are a real good shooter. I just sold one that i had for years. Cylinder bore barrels. It is the Fowler model. You can get parts for them from Navy Arms. Their phone number is: 304-262-9870

Thanks, Rebel. I called Navy Arms to get some info earlier this morning and got the ol' "we sent all those records to the Alcohol and Firearms division" but, she did tell me it was a nice gun in the 70's.

Thanks for letting me know I can still get parts there. I think I need butt plate screws, tang screw and a screw for the ramrod tang. Other than that it has some surface rust which needs to be worked off...

Thanks for letting me know about the bores!

I am not certain it is cylinder bored. You should check them and see. They did make other models that had chokes. I ordered a new tang bolt for mine along with some springs and such just for spares.
