A clip from a historical trek I did this weekend. On the morning we left we had a nice bacon breakfast of which I made this clip from

Must have been very early in the morning as it wasn't even light yet. Bacon in the morning was one of the things I enjoyed most when I was a member of the Virginia 7th Regiment at their reenactments. We had one member, Private Drummond, who always brought his spider-skillet with him (cast iron frying pan on legs). He could just set that up over the coals and fry bacon. Legs kept it off the coals and If he needed it hotter, he'd just move some more coals under the pan. If it was too hot, he remove some. Man, did he make good bacon in the morning!!!
