This lube comes out a cream color and is the consistency of very stiff cold grease.
It will no longer melt after the reaction and must be applied by hand or in a sizer/luber pump.
It is the best black powder cartridge lube I have ever tried and I compare it against SPG Lube, sort of the standard lube buy which all others are measured in black powder cartridge circles.

The obvious lube and water seal wood screws.

Also: I was talking to an older gentleman a few years back and he was showing me a muzzleloader a different older gentleman had made. He said the man somehow mixes melted beeswax with browning solution to brown his barrels. I did not catch the how or why part of it because I had a million other questions for him at the time. The barrel had the color of a Hershey bar and looked like it was made out of glass. I am planning to look through this forum to see if this method is posted anywhere.

Get the odorless turpentine to start. Mix equal parts of the ingredients. I slightly warm the mixture when using and wipe some on, working it in little, then heat gun to melt in. Apply a few coats and polish it a bit. Good luck and post a pic!
