well I was all set to order a Blue-Ridge from Cabela's, but they're not on sale anymore :cursing: . Here recently I've been seeing alot of posts on this rifle. It seems people either love them or hate them. Is Pedersoli having quality control issues? Seem like ya either get a great gun or a dog. I want a
.36 for squirrels and groundhogs. The boss lady says I can have $600.00. Is the Blue-Ridge the best in this price range? Any other suggestions?

Josh

caveman,I bought my ex-girlfriend one of those dixie cubs, it was a full stock .40 flinter and it drilled! Also Traditions makes a good shooter, but not quite pc imho. Sometimes I wonder why I spent 650.00 on parts and two months hard work for a rifle that goes "POOF" ! :youcrazy:

I just checked Jackie Browns website and it looks like his rifles start at about $725. Just a bit out of my price range. Any other ideas?

Josh

I think you can get one in the white for $100 less.Give him a call and see what he'll do.

Call him. He will work with you to get what you want for the price you want. His list prices are just ball park figures. I bought a 28 bore canoe gun from him for $450 so it can be done.

I love my Pedersoli Frontier/Blue Ridge. Don't know what to say. It's in .36 and shoots like a laser. The ignition is instantaneous when properly loaded.

I own a Blue Ridge in .36 flint. It's a tack driver at 50 to 60 yards and dose a damm fine job on tree an rock rats!! Jack

Hi Captain,
Sorry about you missing the sale. I was looking at the .54 myself. I was checking the TVM web site. When I saw their Tennesse Rifle I thought of you. They come in .32 to .62 cal., 36" to 42" barrel and a maple stock. It runs for $800, $700 in the white and $550 in kit form. Here's the link: http://www.avsia.com/tvm/ .Just another option to think about.

you might also want to check the mold and gun shop , they have some sweet custom kits for a real reasonable price an you can mix and match! I talked to 'em at the GNAR a couple years ago, nice folks. My next rifle is coming from them

Be really sweet to the boss :winking: . If not, just hang in there, wait a little longer and try again. We will be relocating in late spring or early summer. My boss said when this task is complete that I can go foe one of them TVM rifles. Now, which one :hmm: . Good luck.

And where would one go to check out the mold and gun shop? Googling does not bring it up.

Dan
They are located in Jackson Ohio. Larry Zornes is the Gentleman's name and he's a good man to do business with. He advertises in Muzzleloader magazine but does not have a website. His number is 740-286-2743. They will be at the trade fair at Canter's Cave this weekend and Larry usually does the Market fair at Fort Fredrick in Maryland as well.
