I have a TVM that was completed last summer in .40 persusian and it is a real tack driver. You just cant go wrong with Jack Garner products and the nice thing is that he will work with his customers. dry balll john

Caveman I live in St. Clairsville Oh. and have family in Nelsonville. I will probably be staying there this weekend. Did you want my physical address or e-mail?

Not your address :haha: . An address for the mold and gun shop :winking: Physical or E-mail or both. I live in St. Clairsville when I was about 1-2 years old

It's just north of Jackson on St. Rt. 35. The exit is marked and then you just follow the signs. It's an old 4H camp. There are some pretty cool caves and rock houses there too. It's also where I took my first trek. I believe the hours are 9-5 on Saturday and 9-4 on Sunday.

You might try Early Rustic Arms.
I have handled a coupla their guns and they seem well built.

I checked them out a couple of days ago. And it doesn't look like he builds anything smaller than a .40

check with the log cabin in lodi. last time i was there they had a bunch of rifles that just came in.

well I did it. I bit the bullet and ordered a Southern rifle kit from TVM. Plain maple stock, 42" .36 cal. Long Hammock barrel, small siler lock, and #4 Davis triggers. Ed Cain knows a feller that is going to put it together in the white for me, and I'll finish it. I'm gonna end up spending a bit more than $600 :rotf:(I have the best wife ever!!!), but it should be well worth it. Now I just need some idea's on what color to stain the stock, and what's the best way to go about browning the metal :hmm: . Thanks for all the advice yall :hatsoff:

Hot dang :applause: ! I'm so happy for you. You owe your wife a big one! Valentines Day is coming up :rotf: . I used Laurel Mountain Forge Barrel Brown & Degreaser from Track of the Wolf on my GPR. Real easy to use and gave me a very nice brown finish. I used eight coats of linseed oil on my stock, which turned out great. My stock is walnut. Don't know how it would work on maple. I'm sure others in here can give advise on that. Anyway, a big congrat on your chose  .

yeah, I owe her big  . I just ordered it yesterday and I'm already getting impatient. I want this thing yesterday
