In a few states I hunt that allows it, I use an orange camo vest.
It seems to break up the solid "grey" a bit when a deer is staring you down.
 
I had a squirrel walk right over my boot top when I was wearing a blaze orange coverall and a blaze orange hat. I also had a deer walk to within 6 feet of me as I was standing next to a small tree on a fence row, wearing the same blaze orange coverall and hat. Blaze orange does not spook game. Fast and large movement does. I have been sitting in tree stands and had birds land on branches right next to my ear and stay there awhile before flying off, without sounding an alarm because of my presence. It all depends on how STILL you can be when animals get close.
