What I dislike about Bore Butter is that if the kitchen is cold in the morning it tears the heck out of my toast.

Shout-out for RIG for long term rust protection.

I been using a bottle of cannabis oil, the non THC containing kind of course. The Mrs. got me bottle thinking it might help my aches and pains bless her. Well it did nothing for me so I used to lube patches and a put a drop over the balls in my c&b revolvers. Seems Crisco and other greases get blown out of the cylinder with the first shot so packing them full seems futile since only shot # 1 sends the full load of grease down the barrel. YMMV.
That has got to be the most expensive lube in the world. Worth it if it works.

now I am wondering how hash oil will work as a shooting oil LOL (the things that get thought up around here....)
would be expensive, but I can legally do it, they sell it in the weed stores here in Washington state

I almost want to do it just to say I did it.

Too lazy to make moose snot or moose spit, so Ive used T/C 1000+ bore butter and number 13 cleaner since it came out. Ive run 2 other shooters and myself down the 25 shot trail walk and never have had a problem. I only use it after the shoot. In the winter when in the woods I keep the tube inside my shirt and belt. Keeps it supple.
I do not use it for patch lubing. I use Number 13 cleaner. It keeps the patches wet in all weather, and cleans after every shot.
Beside it smells like wintergreen chew, and everyone likes chew 🤮
