Brass on a

Have any of you guys used brass furniture on a southern mountain rifle. I've got a 32 flint and want to build something and I'm thinking 32 southern mountain with brass trim . Oh ya and a large siler instead of the L,&R it calls for. Your opinions on the brass and the lock. Just a side note,,I'm not worried anout being pc or all that. Long as I like the outcome. Thanks

Would like someone else to say they have done thus or similar. I always end up doing what I want anyway but misery loves company.LOL

You can put brass, silver, or stainless steel on it if that’s your personal choice, it’s your rifle. But, if you use any of those it will no longer be a Southern Mountain Rifle.

I thought most southern rifles were poor boys style. All iron, not nose cap, etc.
Iron furniture. Thats what I built.

Whos large Siler?

L&R makes dandy locks. If Id not bought a special Chamber's I would have used an L&R.
