How about the Pedersoli Brown Bess kit from Dixie Gun Works? Save some money and get an easy, quality kit

The TOW kit is one of ther "advanced kits". The parts come from the Rifle Shop. What you can do is to go to the Rifle Shop and have them build up the lock kit for you. Or you could ask at TOW for the cost to build the lock. Either way you will nearly double the cost of the lock. The Rifle shop parts provide the most correct Bess available and until the India made First Models started showing up, one of the few ways to buy a First model.

Perhaps more to the point, what do you want to do with the Bess? IF you are simply shooting, then the Pedersoli or a completed gun from Loyalist Arms or Middlesex Village may be just what you wanted at a cost far less than the TOW kit.
