Thx bud ... Its real close but no shellac today .... There's a few small areas bugging me and they are fighting me. There's a bit of figure in the wood in the buttstock and its TOUGH STUFF !! Won't go down ....sanding and sanding and sanding ......go a little Sandi g to do around lock mortice too but everything forward is done ....Yeah, I'm with my friend Tom. It looks pretty good!!
No , I haven't and I am so intrigued by it ...I'd love to watch someone do it that knows what they are doing . Ive scraped a little just playing around but never got serious into it ....Ever try scraping?
Thanks bud ... I'm liking it finally . " Sticky this thread " ? Sorry , I dont know what that means bud ...Wow. Can we sticky this thread? Gorgeous lines.

Guess sanding is one of my least favorite things to do but so critical to a nice finish.
Sanding ....how a hate it , it goes on forever on French guns it seems ...I'm sanding now ...hopefully last day of it ....Guess sanding is one of my least favorite things to do but so critical to a nice finish.
Rob is that lock the L& R trade gun lock #2200.Does it have a screw you need to back off 1/4 turn like the queen Ann .... and done ....nope , fly is too tall and wide ...back apart .... D@&% !!
Yeah , it is that lock. Yeah , the bridle screws you have to do that or the tumbler will not turn , which is very poor craftsmanship but , what are ya gonna do. Tumbler needs yo be turned down thinner or the bridle slightly higher and shouldered sear screw , then the screws can be tightened and the tumbler will still turn......is what it isRob is that lock the L& R trade gun lock #2200.Does it have a screw you need to back off 1/4 turn like the queen Ann .
