Another problem child so ...trying to get the ramrod to pass the mainspring and the front lock screw . Ramrod drill drifted so ... " ya get what we have here ...." . If I cant get it to pass I'll put a false front screw in . Glue in a nut under the side plate and just use the middle screw for lock ...we'll see ....It IS getting past the mainspring now . I took out wood on the S.P. side inside the R.R. hole .....

Slimming and refining the forearm , fore stock , full length both sides ....you've got to be d@mn careful and not get those edges too thin or cut right through the edge , which unfortunately is darn easy to do ! Go slow ! Be careful ..... This site is not co operating with pics download ....

...refining the forestock , thin those edges , gotta sink the S.P. and trigger plate down a bit since I took wood down .... Be so great to be refining and then final sanding tomorrow ... Gotta refine the extended wrist a bit more too ....

When taking the fore stock down ...in the middle between the edges your trying to take down to darn thin , look for high spots and ridge lines ....knock them down and try to make the entire length of both sides as even as possible ....look down the length of it often ....

When filing then sanding to final , at tang ...make sure it is down and secured then file sand to finish the general area to final grit .... then remove barrel and finish rest of stock staying away from tang area as it is done ... Keel looking at it from the shooters position and make sure is even on both sides ....
