Is it possible to buy deer meat in north-east New York state ?

I mean , deer raised on a farm for the meat market .

I'm sure it is possible but I can think of only a couple of reasons to buy. One might be that you are running a restaurant and can't sell any venison unless it's farm raised. Would not want the health dept to know you are scrounging road kill on you way to work.... Why do you want/need to buy? If you Google farm raised venison new york you will get 89000 hits. You should find something for sale. GC

Heads UP........the first 2 cases of CWD in New York were found on private pen raised deer herds.

I live in Canada but my group is involve in re-enacting
the F&I war in New York State parks ( Ticonderoga
Crown Point ) It is incresingly difficult to cross
the border with fruits vegetables and meat ( still no
problem with guns and black powder for the momment )

We have not found a good traditional butcher shop in those
areas , it seems most people buy their meat already cut and
wrapped , in large groceries .
