Can you use a 17mm punch to make 16ga wads?

Same as title I wanna make 16ga wads with a 17mm punch. Would that be suitable or is it not oversized enough to make a proper seal? If I have to I will buy from totw but I'd like to ba able to punch my own.

Sounds good to me. Punch some out and have a go at it.

A 16 gauge would measure about 0.662" in diameter. A 17 mm hole punch should cut a card at 0.669". Should work.
