Sulinai- You mentioned river cane as oposed to bamboo. Here around Greensboro ,near my house I have bambo not river cane. River cane is more period correct than bamboo but if you don't have anything eles is it alright to use instead of river cane. I want to protray a backwoodsman who has possibles that are influnced by Native Americans. River cane can be used for a lot of things like needle contaniers or cane knifes. powder measures etc. been looking for some simple woodland indian designs to use on my horn etc-could you suggest books I might use to copy some designs.
