So once in a while a fired cap sticks inside the hammer nose. It doesn’t happen very often, but often enough to be annoying. I’m thinking about polishing the inside of the hammer nose with some abrasive. Any ideas?

It happens to us all.

If that is the worst thing that happens, it is a nice day.

That seems to come with the territory. Checking to be sure the caps are not in the hammer nose is just part of the preparation of the rifle for the next shot. Polishing won't hurt, but after fouling builds up in the hammer nose, caps will start getting stuck again.
