I have some slightly used targets maybe I can sell. Just a few holes mostly near the middle but the rest is still good.

I may begin saving fired caps...

Check your local hardware stores. Or even wally world.My nephew found they had some left from hunting season and got them at reduced clearance price.The last time there was a shortage of caps I was at a local hardware store that catered to Amish and found they had two plus cases. I bought a case, and my nephew bought a case, and we left the other five tins for anyone else.

The Scheels store is in Johnstown, Colorado. On March 22nd, Monday there were 86 packages of CCI size #11 (100 caps per package) for $5.99 per 100 and a half dozen Winchester Magnum percusssion caps, size 11 for $7.99. Sportsman Warehouse in Loveland and Thornton, Co had .530 Hornady swaged round ball for $17.99 per 100 round balls/package. Saw somewhere in the ML Forum chat line $14.99 for 100 but not a specific brand, weight or diameter (.530 or .535)

Most people would be better off buying molds to make their own bullets with and investing the savings in caps and powder.
Punching out your own wads saves big-time money too.

I make my own. Not very hard but very time consuming. I whipped up 250 in a few hours. I use brass instead of aluminum.

Pretty hard to believe someone would pay for empty packages. I believe it but still...That being said, I think I'll start selling bang noises.

I scored 2300 caps in a week's time at an ACE hardware in a big town in Utah. Also, check your farm and ranch stores...

Keep the shortage going; buy everything you can find.

Ultimately..... they are where you find them. Make a lot of phone calls.

I have nearly 2000 now myself. I’ve tried to be decent and buy a tin or three here and there, never cleaning a place out and sharing with others where I got them. I have a family of 5 and we all shoot. There’s four rifles, two pistols, and two revolvers to feed. No one wants to give up our shooting.

The current shortage looks different than previous ones in both severity and duration. It’s also pretty obvious that manufacturers are putting bp supplies on the back burner to try and meet the massive demand for modern ammo. Most of us are just trying to get through it. I doubt anyone wants to intentionally prolong the issue, but most don’t want to give up their hobby either. I also think we’re all playing out “what if” scenarios in our mind about things not bouncing back for a very long time, if ever.

I would guess I have 2000-2500 but I bought them slowly over time after the last shortage. Now I shoot more flintlocks than percussion so guessing at 62 years of age I might be set for the rest of my life. I have seen panic buying and hoarding over the years but this is maybe the most crazed I have witnessed. Greg

I was in a Scheels store in Johnstown ,Co Wednesday and they had a wall full of #11 CCI reg and magnum caps

Went there tonight, yep, they had a bunch. Thanks for the tip!

I just bought 1000 RWS 1075 #11 caps for $85. I was giving the link and said I wouldn't pass it on.

Snoop around they're still out there.

Not to rub it in, but I go the my components shelf. Some time ago it seemed logical to stock up, so I bit the bullet, so to speak, .spent a bunch of money, and got a few thousand Remington #10 in those neat little plastic packages.
Money well spent.
