A Christian Family Days located at Lakeview Camp in Maypearl Tx. A pre-1840's Rondezvous organized by the FCF club, "Frontier Camping Fellowship" will have their yearly Family Days camp. Fellowship, primitive craft doings, tomahawk throws, family games, bp shooting and old time gospel singing services.
The club allows a ST LOUIS area (modern camping) about 100 yards from the main primitive camp and welcomes newcomers. Even if you just want to know more about primitive camping you can come visit the camp.
The camp has about 300 members in attendence and over 100 lodges or more.
Remember this is a christian camp, no fussin, cussin, fighting or drinkin.
A VERY child and family friendly camp, well organized and lots of doings. Maypearl Tx is south of Dallas about 25 miles. If anyone is wondering about going to a rondezvous with children than this may be the place to check out.

Sounds like a great event! If wish we were closer - we'll be going to Jacobsburg, PA that weekend - hmmm :hmm: 1500 miles or 25 miles? :winking:

So many events... so little time! :hatsoff:

Is there a website to learn more about this organization? Obviously I missed this year, but hopefully there's more to come. That sounds exactly like what my family would enjoy.

Just got back from it, but it is still going on until Noon today Sunday, they even have a church service. It was the best that I went to in 8 years, good crowd, lots and lots of kids, great facilities/showers/bathrooms. Kids games all morning on Sat. The ladies had a tea time society gathering. I cooked indian fry bread all afternoon and gave it away. Men had a log split shoot and even a ladies can shooting contest. evening services and even a morning devotion time, hawk and knife throw, scavager hunt, checkers tournament, real good family fellowship even had a family group from Kansas down our way. Also very laid back if you didn't want to do anything except rest. I will try to get you the link and the web-sight on pictures etc.....

Is that the FCF associated with the Assemblies of God Royal Rangers?

Yes, but FCF is also national now, other organizations/churches other than A/G's can have this program. Here in North Texas our president is opening it up towards others interested in a christian rondezvous and want to see or attend a very good Christian events
