dated for 1806, with octagonal 34 1/2in. barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight with brass blade, moulded buckhorn rear-sight, the top-flat near breech marked 'N.B. 1806', solid top-tang, flat lock with stepped tail and traces of signature below pan, possibly 'Rogers & ?, Philadelphia, Warranted', working replacement cock, stripy maple full-stock (fore-end with repairs), shallow raised cheek-piece, brass furniture including engraved patchbox with pierced hinge, double set triggers, the trigger guard with raised lower tang and wood ramrod with horn tip
