If this has been beat to death before, my apologies. I did a search here but did not find what I was looking for.
Does anyone make (or made) a reasonably close replica of a CSA Whitworth rifle with two bands as well as the other distinguishing characteristics of a CSA example?

i have been looking around and see there are three band versions for sale but not two band versions.

I am no expert on this topic so I hope someone more knowledgeable might have more information.

thanks

There is no commercially available reproduction of the two band 2nd Quality rifles imported by the Confederacy. If you aren't set on a Whitworth, and are simply looking at CS imported sharpshooters rifles, it would be much easier to buy or build a Kerr rifle. For all practical purposes they are LAC P1853 rifle-msuekst with 37 inch .451 caliber barrels.

P-H used to make a a two-band Volunteer in .451cal - I had one for a few years until I got sent to Germany where living in Berlin meant no BP. Apart from having a slightly-too-long muzzle and only regular rifling, rather than Whitworth's hexagonal version, that is going to be the cheapest way of going any way to replicating the Confederate version.

Welcome to the forum, BTW. Do you actually live in 'Albion'? We all like to learn a little bit about the people we are meeting here - don't be a stranger.
