I did a couple of searches here and could not find my answer so here goes...
I am wanting about a 3x3x6 block of fancy curly maple to turn into a horn plug (I want to turn it down to size and then carve in some leaves and the like to match a rifle I have).
Any sources? All I have called have at best 12/4 rough and most have none...

Have you tried any of the companies that sell stock blanks? Maybe they have some end cuts they'll send your way.

If you could use 2 3/4" Fred Miller, Dave Keck, Wayne Dunlop, Bob Lepley, Michael Barton. They would all have that in their scrap bin. Probably use it for firewood.

Thanks for the feedback. I have emails or have checked into several of the spots suggested. Thanks for the help as always!
