That's a 1990 Premier Grade Mountain Rifle.

Unlike almost all other MRs, this edition has a chrome lined bore.

Note too the Walnut stock, full length cheek, the pewter furniture and Frontier Rifle trigger guard also in pewter.

Here's my .50 cal. kit gun. Bought the kit from a bid site for $200. Best shooter I have. Finished the barrel in 44-40 cold blue and steelwooled it back to get a worn look. Beech is difficult to stain evenly but I did what I could. Trigger set had to be worked and set in the stock to fit since it was too deep to start. It is very sweet now.

Here's mine I acquired a couple of years ago. It has the maple stock, 2 screw patch box but hexagonal thimbles, aluminum ramrod tip and unmarked barrel. At the time I acquired it I was told it is believed this was likely a transition gun from around 1979. The rear trigger was removed at some point but I have a new trigger assembly for it.
