Yep, I hear the stupidest statements coming from clerks at some of the larger gun stores. Was at Cabelas here about two years ago, heard the clerk trying to talk a teenager out of a flintlock. (Pa has a flinter only season after Christmas for three weeks.) As soon as the clerk was distracted, I sent the kid and his dad over to Blue Mountain Muzzleloaders, who by chance were having a match that weekend.

big box stores have phones, save yourself the trip and call the store manager or gun dept manager. like them cap thingys phones ain't gonna last be back to smoke signals soon but use it while you can

Why not handle this the "old school" way as described in the Good Book?

Talk to the feller directly and tell him what he's saying is wrong and dangerous.

Should he shrug off your advice and warning, then tell him again with a friend or his boss maybe.
