Does anyone own one of those Traditions/Pietta Buffalo revolver?

Yea I want to get the stock for for 12” setup and use it as a carbine! I think it could take some pigs or small whitetails within 50 yards. And I think it looks pretty cool!

Any idea where I could buy the shoulder stock for the 1878 army buffalo made by Pietta. Mine does have the 12-inch barrell and it's a brass frame. Thanks for any help.

You mean the 1858 by Pietta. There is a cutoff date here of 1865.

Just be sure folks, that if you do, you check the local DNR regs. In my state the handgun needs to generate 700 ftlbs of energy or use 40 grains of black powder, for one to use it for deer. So you could use a Walker, or a 1st Model Dragoon, or some of the single shots, but most of the .44 revolvers out there, would be a no go for deer.

I got this one about 6 months ago on Gunbroker.

I think Cimmaron sells them also.

I am very interested in a stock for my pietta Bison. I really kind of wish i had bought a standard 8" model. this rig is good for 6inch plates at 50yrd off the bench but its rather cumbersom to shoot off hand. part of the problem is the front sight is much fatter than my trapper front sight so it blots out the entire target at 50m. the other part is its damn front heavy.

I put about 500 rnds through it earlier this summer and made friends but still want a stock. haven't shot it in about 6 weeks as the muzzleloader competition season heated up.
