I have three sets of side by side barrels they bore out at .70. The barrels have never been made into rifles .I am wanting to now if it is possible to turn them into bp rifles? What would be esier perc or flint? I think flint would be the most fun. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :thanks: Nathan Bowen

Well both have their own problems to work around none of which are really to hard to do but will take time . With percussion its aligning the nipples ,drilling the holes correctly . Flintlock its setting up the
locks to mate to the barrels properly .
Myself I think flintlocks are easier but then its really a mater of preference isn

You need to pick up this book:

Recreating the Double Barrel Muzzleloading Shotgun by Bill Brockway. Bill also frequents this form occasionally, but is a regular over at American Longrifles, and can just about answer any question you might come up with. There are some others who have done this too like Cody Tetachuk who can help you out.
