I’m going to call them and give them one more chance. But if they balk I’ll move on too.
Ideally you want to buy them in person, but we can't always do that.

I have moved my business to Log Cabin for the most part except flints which I go to Heritage as I said before, they are nice folks and have a small business.

Haven’t tried Heritage yet but I will. And I agree that Log Cabin Shop are good folks, I’ve done business with them in the past. Might just bypass Track on my next order. I’m well stocked with flints at this time. Especially humppies! ;)

I buy TOW English flints to and when I get the ones with a hump I use a diamond grinding wheel from Harbor Freight to grind them down.

I have a HF diamond wheel tile saw too and use it for that. But I’d prefer not to have to go through the process with each new bag of flints. But they are quite handy to have.

Do not breath the dust, bad on your lungs.

I don't buy flints I have to grind, why pay for new and then have to work on them, that is not smart.

From TOW with english flints.

Does your lock seem to prefer flints that are thicker, thinner, flatter, shorter, longer, or more nearly square? Tell us what you need, and we will do our best to select the best flint for your lock when ordering individual flints. Packages of flints are already bagged and no selection of flints is possible. Or specify which gun or lock you have, in our shopping cart comment box, and we will select the best size, for you. We like these nice flints!

Flints from Heritage are not pre-bagged, when they are shipped, they are individually taped to a piece of cardboard.

If you are buying flint nodules, get a couple. I recently attended a flint knapping course here in the UK and we were using genuine Brandon nodules weighing about 5 lbs. My average for decent 5/8" or 3/4" flints was around 5 per nodule, trust me, there's an awful lot of waste!
Plus side is I came home with around 80 good flints, some mine, some the Instructors so I have enough to last me probably the rest of my lifetime!
