Not yet.

I have an order of Kerr bullets, and the mold for Johnson & Dow. I plan to cast those this coming weekend. I also have the Eras Gone Dragoon bullet and an Old West mold called "44 Walker" which might be a slightly modified version of the original 217gr Picket conical originally called out in the Walker contract.

I hope to weigh and measure them this weekend. I probably can't shoot them until March though.

Here, I just have a Pietta buntline and Pedersoli copy of the Remington New Model Army.

In Texas, I can try them in a Colt Walker Gen 2, Colt 1860 Army Gen 2, Colt Dragoon Gen 2, and a Ruger Old Army. I have chronographs in Texas, so I can also get some useful data, like how much powder will fit with the various conicals and round balls with associated velocities. Anyway, that is my plan.

I have shot the JD conical s in two NMA (one a 76 and the other a 2023) and the ROA. No conclusions as its been cold and no real load development, mostly just seeing if they shoot various levels of 777 and Pyrdodex (granular and pellets) and if anything jumps out.

Very preliminary they were worse accuracy wise than .454 and .457 ball in the same guns. I have some chrono results but have to sort it out as I failed to bring my note book with me and have to break it down.

Also having to re-vamp my logging methods, I have to try to track different 5 cylinders and loads in 3 guns. That is on me for not being more organized and disciplined about it.

Looking forward to results posted here too. What revolvers will you guys be testing them from? More curious how Uberti vs Pietta models shoot, since I know some have different twist rates. There are some good videos on youtube though - duelist1954

I haven't got my setup for casting yet, but was planning to order a small batch of 36 each ($35 shipped for all 72) from gimcrack and bunkum

I wasn't able to cast this last weekend, but I hope this coming weekend. I will only be able to measure so far, and then shoot once I get back to Texas.

As I wrote above, I plan to test a Ruger Old Army, a Colt Gen2 1860 Army, a Colt Gen2 Walker, and a Colt Gen2 Dragoon. I have a Pedersoli Remington pattern here, but no Chronograph. Maybe I will bring one back with me...who knows.

I’ve used them in a few different 1860 Army’s, four guns, and also a Pietta Shooters Model Remington replica. They’re very good. don’t have a mold so I bought them from gunbroker and one of the vendors isn’t as good as the other. I weighed a few samples and found wide variations, as much as 7 grains either way. Using weight matched bullets they are capable of fine accuracy.
