Well if you load nitro its not proofed for your asking for trouble. I still prefer Damascus but I respect it . Sure some have burst due to ignorance but many more have stood nitro abuse for years on farms & these same guns suffered neglect .and generally of considerable age . So its not too supprizing some burst . Rudyard
